Sonam Kapoor to embrace motherhood again, actress expecting second child

Bollywood’s much-loved couple Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are on cloud nine as they are set to embrace parenthood for the second time. The couple tied the knot on May 8, 2018 and welcomed their first child, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja on August 20, 2022. Now, the couple is expecting their second child and they are all set to make an announcement soon.

As per reports by Pinkvilla, a source to couple confirms, “Sonam is in the second trimester of her pregnancy, and the news has brought immense joy to both families.” The sources close to the couple further confirm that the announcement might be made soon.

Sonam on her comeback plan

Speaking about her journey over the past few years, Sonam in a recent interview with Times Of India said, “I became a mother and wanted to give it as much time as possible – so that I could witness the process of seeing my son grow up. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of being a mother and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life."

“Now, I will be back to doing what I love doing – acting. I’m being drawn to disruptive subjects that allow me to shine. I have always tried to pick projects with the girl at the heart of the story and that vision hasn’t changed. I want to do projects where the role of the woman is layered and not unidimensional. I’m excited to come back in front of the camera and my first project post-pregnancy will roll out in the last quarter of 2025," she revealed.
