State Approves Third Phase of ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Shala, Sundar Shala’ Campaign

The Maharashtra government has approved the third phase of the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Shala, Sundar Shala’ campaign, which will be implemented across all schools in the state, regardless of their management or medium of instruction. This phase will run from November 3 to December 31, 2025, with a preparation period from October 24 to November 2, 2025.
The campaign is designed to promote overall development in schools, focusing not only on academic excellence but also on health, hygiene, environmental awareness, sports, and effective school administration. The aim is to enhance the personality development of students and improve educational outcomes in alignment with government policies.
Schools participating in the campaign will be divided into two categories: government and local body schools, and all other types of schools (including private and aided institutions). Winners will be selected separately in both categories across different levels, with the campaign being implemented in the BMC region, ‘A’ and ‘B’ class municipal corporations, and the rest of Maharashtra. A total prize fund of INR 72.22 crore will be awarded to the winning schools across various levels and categories.
Following the end of the campaign on December 31, 2025, the evaluation process will take place from January 1 to February 7, 2026, culminating in a state-level award ceremony. The initiative is a part of the state’s broader efforts to strengthen the quality of school education and create healthy, competitive learning environments.
