Dhamaal 4 postponed again; Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh starrer gets a new date

The much anticipated comedy Dhamaal 4, starring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, has been postponed once again, with the makers now locking July 3, 2026 as its new theatrical release date. This marks the second shift in the film’s release schedule, as the team aims to avoid major box office clashes and secure a clearer window for the franchise’s return.

Dhamaal 4 gets a new release date again

Originally scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, during the Eid weekend, the film was expected to benefit from the festive holiday period. However, with several big ticket films lining up for the same window, the makers decided to push the release to June 12, 2026. The decision was taken to ensure the film did not get lost amid stiff competition from large scale action and pan Indian releases.

Despite the earlier change, the June slot also proved to be crowded, prompting the producers to rethink their strategy. With multiple high profile films slated for mid June, the team has now moved Dhamaal 4 to early July. Trade sources suggest the new date is considered favourable and gives the film a better chance to attract family audiences during the summer break.

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 brings back the franchise’s original ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film also introduces fresh faces such as Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan, adding new energy to the well loved comedy series.

The Dhamaal franchise has enjoyed strong audience support over the years, beginning with Dhamaal in 2007, followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011 and Total Dhamaal in 2019. Known for its slapstick humour, chaotic situations and ensemble driven comedy, the series has remained a popular family entertainer.

Produced by Devgn Films, T Series Films, Maruti International and Panorama Studios, Dhamaal 4 completed its shoot last year. With its revised July release, the makers are hopeful the film will deliver a laughter filled cinematic experience without the pressure of competing releases, giving audiences a reason to return to theatres for some light hearted fun.
