'Cluster model' needed for faster redevelopment of Malvani area: CM Devendra Fadnavis
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis instructed that a 'cluster model' be adopted for the redevelopment of slums in the Malwani area, in Malad, and also directed that the survey of slums in Ambuwadi, Dadasaheb Gaikwad Nagar, and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in the area be completed. Minister of State for Housing Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar and MLA Aslam Sheikh were present at the review meeting of the Malwani redevelopment project.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the remaining survey of slums in the Malwani area should be completed. He directed MHADA and the Slum Redevelopment Authority to conduct the survey area-wise. After surveying all the slums in the Malwani area, the agencies should submit a joint report. Separate action should be taken for areas facing legal issues. Areas where development work is already underway should be given priority for redevelopment.
