Mumbai: Tejasvee Abhishek Ghosalkar Resigns from Shivsena UBT Joins BJP

Shiv Sena (UBT) has suffered a major setback ahead of the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Former corporator and wife of the late Abhishek Ghosalkar, a former corporator of Shiv Sena (UBT), Tejasvee Ghosalkar has taken up the Bharatiya Janata Party flag by congratulating Uddhav Thackeray on his victory in Maharashtra.

Tejasvee Ghosalkar publicly joined the BJP in Mumbai on December 15 in the presence of Mumbai BJP President Amit Satam and Legislative Council member Praveen Darekar. Earlier, she had posted on social media that she was resigning from his positions in the Shiv Sena (UBT).

After joining the BJP, Tejasvee Ghosalkar spoke to the media. During this, she said, "I was elected as a corporator on a Shiv Sena ticket in 2017." However, now I have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. I thank Mumbai BJP President Amit Satam and MLA Praveen Darekar for allowing me to join the party.

Tejasvee Ghosalkar reveals reason for joining BJP

Tejasvee Ghosalkar said, “This decision to leave Shiv Sena (UBT) and join BJP was very difficult. There are many reasons behind this decision, but I cannot talk about it now. I am very sad to leave the party that gave me identity. However, I have taken this decision for the development work in my constituency. I have many things to say. But I don't know how to say them. I want to do development work in my ward. That's why I have joined the BJP."

Expectations from BJP and Chief Minister
“I expect that all the work in my ward and ours will be done under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. My husband Abhishek has been murdered. The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case. But the investigation is progressing slowly. I hope that the investigation will be speedy. We expect justice for my family. The BJP and the Chief Minister will fulfill our expectations."

Former corporator Tejasvee Ghosalkar said, "I have now joined the BJP. I will fulfill whatever responsibility the party and senior leaders assign to me. I assure everyone at this time that I will do the same or even more work for the BJP as I did for the Shiv Sena.”
