Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor return together from Delhi, hug and part ways

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor made heads turn on Saturday as they bumped into each other at the Mumbai airport on their way to Delhi. The duo was later spotted arriving back in the city together later that night.
On Saturday night, the paparazzi captured Deepika and Ranbir exiting the Mumbai airport together. While Deepika looked elegant in an off-white salwar suit, Ranbir kept it casual in a white T-shirt, brown jacket, and black denims. Both actors sported sunglasses as they made their way out.
Ranbir and Deepika were seen walking toward their respective cars, sharing a quick hug before parting ways.
Deepika and Ranbir’s reunion moment
The duo, who previously starred together in films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha, greeted each other warmly—a moment that quickly went viral on social media.
Earlier in the day, the actors were spotted at the Mumbai airport, where Deepika opted for a chic grey co-ord set featuring a zip-up jacket paired with trousers. She completed her look with small earrings, black sunglasses, and a neatly tied bun.
Ranbir, dressed in an all-black outfit with a cap and sunglasses, was seen walking towards the terminal when he noticed Deepika leaving in an electric shuttle. The Bajirao Mastani actress stopped upon seeing him, and the two shared a warm hug before boarding the shuttle together, sparking a buzz across social media platforms.
Deepika Padukone’s exit from Kalki 2 and Spirit
This marked Deepika`s first public appearance after her much-talked about exit from the film Kalki 2898 AD. Earlier this month, Vyjayanthi Movies announced that the actress would no longer be part of the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. The production house released a statement on X, saying, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel… After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. A film like Kalki 2898 AD deserves that commitment and much more.”
Reports suggest her departure stemmed from failed negotiations, including demands for a higher fee, reduced working hours, and special accommodations for her team.
Deepika’s earlier exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit also made headlines. According to industry sources, the actress had requested profit sharing, an eight-hour workday, and a pay hike—terms the director reportedly declined.
