Mrunal Thakur addresses link-up rumours with Dhanush, finds it funny

Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur have been making headlines ever since reports of the two in a romantic relationship started making rounds. They were first spotted together at actress’ birthday and Son of Sardaar 2 screening after which the rumours surfaced. Now, Mrunal has finally addressed the claims calling Dhanush just a good friend. 

Mrunal reacts to dating rumours with Dhanush

The Son of Sardaar 2 actress told Only Kollywood, “Dhanush is just a good friend to me. I’m aware that a lot of news has been circulating about the two of us being linked together recently. I just found it funny when I saw it. Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event. No one should misunderstand that. It was Ajay Devgn who invited him.”

Mrunal and Dhanush dating rumours

The rumours around Dhanush and Mrunal`s close bond began circulating after the two were seen holding hands during a party in Mumbai. In the video shared on social media, the actress is also seen whispering something in the Raanjhanaa star`s ear, which made him smile. The 42-year-old actor also reportedly flew down from Chennai to Mumbai to attend the screening of Mrunal`s film, Son Of Sardaar 2. It grabbed eyeballs since he is known to rarely make public appearances.

According to News18’s report, a source said, “Yes, it’s true that they are dating. But it’s too new and they`ve no plans of making their relationship official before the public or the media. At the same time, they`re unfazed about going out and about and being spotted. Friends are truly rooting for them as they`re quite similar and compatible when it comes to their values, choices and thoughts.”

Mrunal and Dhanush’s upcoming movies

The actor has multiple films in his kitty including Idli Kadai. He has wrapped the shoot for Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Aanand L Rai. Furthermore, he is filming for the tentatively titled D54, co-starring with Mamitha Baiju and biopic on APJ Abdul Kalam titled Kalam: The Missile Man of India. 

On the other hand, Mrunal Thakur will appear in South movies like Dacoit: A Love Story and AA22xA6, co-starring with Allu Arjun. She also has Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Varun Dhawan.
