Jagran film festival introduces JFF Grant for the next generation of storyteller

The Jagran Film Festival (JFF), presented by Rajnigandha, is known as the world’s largest travelling film festival, and is all set to return with its 13th edition. JFF has announced the debut of its new property, ‘JFF Untitled’, a groundbreaking platform designed to discover and nurture the country’s most promising creative talent in filmmaking.

About JFF Untitled

Breaking away from traditional talent hunts, JFF Untitled will bring together emerging directors, writers, performers, editors, cinematographers, and other film professionals under one roof. Throughout the festival, they will be paired into dynamic teams, challenged to conceive original ideas, and guided through the process of bringing those concepts to life in their short films. Backed by the JFF Grant (a financial and creative catalyst aimed at transforming bold ideas into cinematic reality), participants will receive both funding and mentorship from industry experts, giving their first big project the platform and visibility it deserves.

Talents that will define next era of storytelling

Talking about this initiative, Basant Rathore, Sr. VP – Strategy and Brand Development, Jagran Prakashan Ltd said, “The future of Indian cinema will be shaped by those who dare to think differently. With JFF Untitled, the aim is not just to offer a platform, but to invest in talented people who will define the next era of storytelling. This is about turning potential into legacy and giving the next generation of filmmakers the tools, stage, mentors, and audience to begin that journey. We believe talent is everywhere; it only needs the right opportunity to shine. Through this property, we want to make sure that stories are not just imagined, but brought to life for the world to see.”

The short films created by the participants will receive their red-carpet moment at the Jagran Film Festival’s Mumbai showcase, with the winners having the opportunity to showcase their short film during the festival. It`s time to dream, create, and shine!
