Have you heard? Amitabh Bachchan feels the fans weren`t excited enough

Big B has a complaint

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan kept up his beloved Sunday darshan tradition on August 10, greeting fans outside his Juhu residence. Writing on his blog afterwards, the veteran actor noted that the crowd felt “a bit subdued” except for the “devoted, dedicated ones,” speculating it might have been due to delays, fading light, or cloudy skies. “Shall see if the gates can be [opened] slightly early so the fans do not have to wait long,” he added. He also shared photos from the meet, including posters brought by admirers, and reflected: “Each day a memory and the memory lasts the entire day.” At 81, Amitabh continues to meet fans every Sunday — a tradition he’s upheld for over 40 years. He was last seen in Vettaiyan (2024), his Tamil debut, directed by TJ Gnanavel.

Dharma’s blue-eyed girl

Wamiqa Gabbi

Actor Wamiqa Gabbi, fresh off the announcement of her Dharma Productions debut Kuku Ki Kundali opposite Bhuvan Bam, is reportedly set to headline another Dharma project — this time with Shakun Batra at the helm. Industry insiders claim the deal is nearly sealed, marking two back-to-back collaborations with the banner in under 10 days. Shakun, known for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Gehraiyaan (2022), is said to be cooking up an emotionally layered tale. While the film’s plot, co-stars, and genre are still under wraps, the project is currently in pre-production and expected to roll early next year.

‘Dogs are Delhiites’

John Abraham

Actor John Abraham has urged Chief Justice of India BR Gavai to review the Supreme Court’s recent directive on removing stray dogs from Delhi and nearby cities. Calling the order “impractical” and “inhumane”, Abraham wrote, “These are not ‘strays’ but community dogs, respected and loved by many, and very much Delhiites in their own right, having lived in the region as neighbours to humans for generations.” Citing World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines and the Animal Birth Control Dog Rules, 2023, he advocated sterilisation, vaccination, and return to home areas instead of relocation. The actor warned of the “vacuum effect” and public health risks if Delhi’s estimated 19 lakh dogs are displaced. The August 11 ruling has also sparked backlash from Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Vir Das, and others. On the work front, John will be seen in Tehran with Manushi Chhillar.
