Have you heard? Alia Bhatt to produce a young-adult film

YA! Please

Actor Alia Bhatt has finalised her next production venture where she will be teaming with Amazon Prime Video and Chalkboard Entertainment, which has produced acclaimed titles Gulmohar (2023), Jaadugar (2024) and The Mehta Boys. Under her banner, Eternal Sunshine Pictures, the untitled film will be a high-concept young adult film, which will be helmed by débutante filmmaker Sreeti Mukerji. She previously worked as an assistant director on films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013) and Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (2022). The buzz is that the coming-of-age drama will be set in a college campus and the story will be in the vein of Wake Up Sid (2009) but from a female perspective. It will feature a predominantly fresh cast and will roll in October. This is Alia’s first feature-film tie-up with the streaming giant, following her executive producer credit on Poacher (2024).
