Faissal Khan cuts ties with brother Aamir Khan and family

Aamir Khan`s brother, actor Faissal Khan, who made news a few days earlier by making shocking claims against his family, has now officially announced that he is cutting all ties with his family following years of painful experiences. This decision comes after he alleged that they called him `mad` and diagnosed him with schizophrenia. He also accused them of forcing him to take medication, while Aamir locked him inside the house for an entire year. Following his remarks, the family issued a statement denying these claims, calling them `misinterpreted` and expressing hurt. In his recent statement, Faissal has made it clear that he no longer wishes to be associated or connected to them.

Faissal Khan cuts ties with family

Faissal Khan recently shared a statement with Bollywood Bubble, wherein he said he is ending his relationship with his family. The statement read, “I, Faissal Khan, have from the date hereof severed all ties, familial as well as, in estate, with my family members, the names whereof are more particularly described in the Schedule hereunder written. All persons are required to take note that on and from the date hereof I shall not be known as forming part of the family of my late father Tahir Husain or my mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, and/or any other family member more panicularly described in the Schedule hereunder written, and I shall not be entitled to any rights arising out of the estate of either of them or liable for any liability arising out of the estate of either of them.”

He further added, “I will from the date hereof not reside in the residence of my brother Aamir Khan, and I will also not claim any monthly allowance/ maintenance from my brother Aamir Khan. All persons are required to take note that my decision to sever all ties with my family members has been arrived at after very careful I consideration on my part and in view of the unfortunate past events as under:

  • During the period 2005 to 2007, I was subjected to unwanted forced medication.
  • During the period 2005 to 2006, I was confined to home, akin to house arrest against my wishes, by some family members for their personal interests"

In his statement, he further claimed, "In October, 2007, when I was being forced to give up my signatory rights by my family members, I left home, w h e re upon my mother Zeenat Tahir Hussain and my elder sister Nikhat Hegde ma de fa Ise al Iegati o ns a ga i nst me th at I wa s suffering from paranoid Schizophrenia, and that I was a danger to the society at large. The court case took about five months for hearing a n d d i s p os a I, and in February 2008, the court passed final judgment in my favour, and rejected the allegations and contentions made by my family members, which is a matter of record."

Faissal Khan plans to take legal action

Referring to the Khan family`s statement a few few days ago he claimed, "My family members have now, once again, conspired against me and defamed me by publishing false statements in print and social media in the month of August 2025 that I was misleading and mis representing the facts, when on the contrary, my family members have been responsible for jeopardising my career and creating havoc in my personal and professional Life since the Year 2005.”

Faissal noted that the court ruled in his favour in 2008 and later dismissed the claims made against him. However, the Mela actor has now accused his family of once again spreading false statements about him on social media in August 2025, which damaged his career and personal life.

The 59-year-old requested that the public and media must stop commenting on the matter while respecting his privacy. He further stated that he plans to file a writ petition in court next month to take further legal action.
