Sikandar fame Anjini Dhawan shares tips on workout and diet that keep her fit

In an industry where image is constantly under scrutiny, younger actors often juggle the pressure to look a certain way with the influence they hold over their followers. Anjini Dhawan, who has appeared in films like Binny and Family (2024) and Sikandar, is clear about her stance on fitness, body image and cosmetic enhancements, and about the example she wants to set for the young girls who look up to her.

For Anjini, wellness is rooted in balance. “I love working out, it gives me mental peace,” she says. Her regimen blends clean eating, three litres of water a day (often with electrolytes or coconut water), and varied workouts. She practises strength training four times a week, and mixes it up with dance sessions twice or thrice a week. She pursues yoga, once a regular feature in her regimen, on and off lately There’s a new addition too — paddle tennis, which is her latest obsession. “Paddle tennis is such a fun sport,” she says, enjoying how it burns calories without feeling like a workout. She is also a certified belly dancer, a dance form she pursued purely for enjoyment, which also helps in flexibility.

Unfazed by trolling, Anjini focuses on her own happiness. Her advice to young girls: Make health a lifestyle, not a quick fix, and be kind to your body. Cosmetic enhancements? “Whatever makes you happy — you do you,” she says.

The 25-year-old says she maintains mental health through a relaxed approach and therapy, which she compares to a routine health check-up. For guidance, she turns to cousins Varun Dhawan and Rohit Dhawan, with plans for a friendly paddle match in the works.
