Actor Shahid Kapoor was seen enjoying a game day at the iconic Lord`s cricket ground in London. The actor took to social media to share some pictures from his exciting day playing cricket. He seemed happy like a kid whose dream is to play on the famous ground. He was accompanied by his wife, Mira Rajput, who was cheering for him from the stands.

Shahid took to Instagram late on Wednesday to share a photo dump from his fun-filled day at London`s iconic Lord`s Cricket Ground. In the pictures, Shahid is seen donning the cricket gear complete with cricket shoes and a white jersey. He was seen taking to the pitch at Lord`s Cricket Ground for a friendly match. The actor`s excitement was visible as he showcased his cricketing skills.

Mira was also seen with Shahid, cheering for her husband from the stands. In one of the pictures, Shahid beamed with pride. His wife, Mira Rajput, was seen with him stylishly dressed in white. Sharing the images, Shahid wrote as a caption, “What a day!” Similarly, Lord`s Cricket Ground also shared pictures of the actor on their official Instagram page, writing, “An absolute privilege to have @shahidkapoor playing at the Home of Cricket today!”

Shahid Kapoor`s upcoming projects

The images of Shahid playing cricket reminded his fans of his 2022 film, Jersey. The sports drama was a remake of the Telugu film of the same name and narrated the story of a former cricketer who returns to the game in his mid-30s to fulfil his son’s wish. The film failed to make an impact at the box office. 

Currently, Shahid is busy shooting for his upcoming film, Arjun Ustara. The criminal drama is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It also stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda in key roles, while Vikrant Massey is expected to make a special appearance. The film is slated to release in December this year. Meanwhile, filmmaker Amit Rai recently shared that his historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, starring Shahid, has been shelved.
