Mumbai: Dharavi Man Dies by Suicide After Returning from Hometown
A 26-year-old man, Vikash Ganesh Kunjikurve, reportedly died by suicide early Wednesday at his residence in Dharavi Transit Camp, Block No. 8.
Vikash, who had been married for five months and worked in a private company, had recently visited his hometown in Kolhapur and returned to Mumbai around 7 a.m.
According to sources, after greeting his family, Vikash locked himself in his ground-floor room and allegedly hanged himself from an iron angle. His family rushed him to Sion Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The Dharavi Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), and further investigation is ongoing.
