Mumbai Airport T2 Charges INR 150 to INR 250 for Just 30 Minutes of Parking

Parking at Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2 can cost between INR 150 and INR 250 for even a short stay of half an hour. Ordinary parking starts at INR 150, while premium parking is available for INR 250 for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Longer parking durations are even more expensive. Parking for eight to 24 hours can reach up to INR 1,000. These high charges have triggered a heated public discussion. Many drivers feel that the fees add unnecessary stress to an already expensive trip to the airport. Some have pointed out that other major airports in India do not have such high parking costs.
In contrast, Terminal 1 at Mumbai Airport allows visitors to park for free if they stay less than five minutes. This facility is not available at Terminal 2. As per sources, the global trend is offering a few minutes of free parking for passengers.
Even for quick pick-ups or drop-offs, drivers cannot avoid the charges. To pick up or drop off someone at T2, entering the paid parking area is mandatory. Mumbai International Airport Limited has not responded to the issue yet. However, sources suggest that the airport may reconsider providing free space for pick-ups in the future.
