Janaawar: Farzi actor Bhuvan Arora talks about playing a cop

Bhuvan Arora, who caught the audience’s attention with Farzi (2023) and the recent comedy Dupahiya, is readying for his upcoming outing, Janaawar — The Beast Within. In the thriller, the actor plays a sub-inspector, who has to investigate a series of gruesome crimes that has shattered the calm in his town in Chhattisgarh. 

For Arora, donning the khaki uniform was only part of the draw. “It’s always great to be in a uniform. But what appealed to me the most was that the show was written with such depth and intensity that saying no wasn’t an option. It pushed me to explore a different side of myself as an actor,” he shares.

The Zee5 series is directed by Shachindra Vats. Arora believes Janaawar also gave him the chance to grow into a more mature performer while telling a story rooted in social fault lines and human frailty. He adds, “What I love about this series is how it mixes crime and mythology to tell a story that feels rooted in who we are as a country. It makes you think about identity, justice, power, and where we belong in today’s world.”
