Is Malaika Arora’s second marriage on cards? Actress drops major hint

Malaika Arora became an overnight sensation after her appearance in the Dil Se song Chaiyya Chaiyya. In 1998, she got married to Arbaaz Khan after dating for 5 years. However, in 2016, they parted ways and are co-parenting son Arhaan now. After this, Malaika made headlines for her rumoured relationship with Arjun Kapoor. They also separated last year. Now, Malaika has hinted at the possibility of second marriage.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress was asked to advise her younger self. She said, “I would have said, ‘Take your time to get married.’ I would have told my younger self that, definitely. It is (a huge commitment) and ladkiyaan pata nahi kya… itni jaldi shaadi karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Thoda bohot kaam karlo, thoda understand karlo life ki journey and then take that plunge- which I was… very young when I got married."

When asked if she would like to get married again, Malaika said, “Never say never. Like I said, I’m a hardcore romantic. I believe in love. I believe in all things about love. So, never say never." Malaika’s comment has left fans gushing, and they are wondering if love is on the cards again for Malaika after her breakup with Arjun Kapoor.

For those unversed, Malaika was in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor. They started dating in 2019 and their pictures and public appearance spoke volumes of their bond. However, they parted ways in 2024 suggesting they had “run their course" as a couple. During a promotional event for Singham Again, Arjun Kapoor addressed his relationship status, revealing that he was single.

The actress also shared that when she and Arbaaz decided to end their marriage, people quickly turned against her. “People think it is wrong to put yourself first. They always say you have to put your child first. Or you have to put your family first. But, what is the harm in putting yourself first? Too many people pointed fingers at me and said, ‘What a selfish decision.’ But that might be a selfish decision to you. I did what I felt. It is hard for people to understand. I feel that decision has helped me become a better person. I have become more ease at myself. I am in a happier space. My kid is in a much better and happier space,” she said.

Arbaaz Khan is now married to Sshura Khan. They tied the knot in an intimate Nikaah ceremony in 2023. The couple is now expecting their first child.
