Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic drama with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela is set to resume filming in November, following delays that pushed its release beyond the festive 2025 slots. According to reports, the duo will reunite for a 25-day schedule in Mumbai, which will include both new scenes and select reshoots. Around 40 days of filming reportedly remain, with plans to wrap by the end of January 2026. The buzz is that the final stretch will be shot between December and January, and will wrap in June. mid-day had earlier reported that the buzz is that the film will be called Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, and it is slated to release on May 5, 2026 (Tu meri identity hai, October 8). 

Can’t recreate magic today

Nostalgia aside, Kajol has firmly rejected the notion of remaking the iconic romance, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995). As the film approaches its 30th anniversary, she argued that that adapting the storyline to current sensibilities would destroy its essence. “You will have to adapt it to current times and thought processes, so no, the magic cannot be recreated,” she told PTI. Kajol advised aspiring filmmakers, “Create your own magic.”

At a time when many celebrities are seeking to protect their personality rights from being replicated by AI, Deepika Padukone has taken a different route by lending her voice to Meta AI. The Bollywood star announced that she is now the voice of Meta’s AI assistant across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Sharing a video on Instagram, she said, “Hi, I’m Deepika Padukone. I’m the new voice of Meta AI.” Calling the collaboration “pretty cool,” she said users can now interact with her voice globally through the platform.
