Nyrraa Banerji has carved a niche for herself in the television industry with shows like Divya Drishti, Pishachini, Khatron Ke Khiladi, among others. She was also a part of Bigg Boss 18. After her stint in the reality show, the actress marked her big-screen outing with One Two Cha Cha Cha. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, the actress opened up about her glam role and recalled being offered bold characters.
Nyrraa Banerji on glam role
In the film, Nyrraa will play a Bihari girl and Ashutosh Rana’s love interest. When asked if she had any apprehensions about taking up the role, she answered, “Apprehension comes when there is a grey shade. Many times, people attach glamour with being grey. Over here, it’s out-and-out comedy. I am playing a Bihari girl, and I got to show my grace and dance moves. I have also not done such a thing before.”
Nyrraa on her film career
While Nyrraa kickstarted her career with a South film, she later dabbled in television. However, it was later a challenge to re-enter the industry, due to which she opted for TV. “I have done 14 films down south, three in Bollywood, and then I had a mishap in my family where I lost three family members, after which I got disoriented. And what happens in the South is, if you take a break, you have to re-enter, while Bollywood was going through a phase where everything was all about boldness and intimacy. I didn’t want to be a part of it. So the best bet was TV, and it was offered to me for many years, so I took a chance and did it.”

When asked about her role in the film, the actress said, “It was a roller-coaster ride for me. My character looks sassy, and at the same time, I loved doing such a beautiful dance. The actors here are known in their respective fields. There was a long wait for such a situational comedy, and this is going to do well according to me.”
Talking about the film, it also stars Ashutosh Rana, Abhimanyu Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Harsh Mayar, Lalit Prabhakar, and Anant V. Joshi.
