Team India watches Ranveer Singh`s Dhurandhar ahead of South Africa clash

Ahead of their match with South Africa, the Indian cricket team was seen taking time out on Monday night to watch Ranveer Singh`s latest blockbuster film, Dhurandha,r at a multiplex in Lucknow. The team arrived in the city earlier for their fourth T20I match against South Africa, which is scheduled for December 17 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium.

After securing a 2-1 lead in the five-match series, Team India stepped out to watch the blockbuster starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. They reportedly booked an entire auditorium for the 8:10 PM show at the Phoenix Palassio mall multiplex in the city.

Coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Suryakumar Yadav, vice-captain Shubman Gill, along with players Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma and others were seen arriving at the multiplex to watch Dhurandhar in comfortable casual attire. Morne Morkel, India`s bowling coach also accompanied the team for the movie outing. 

Sajeev Sarin, the regional director for the company, said, “We had booked the entire Audi No 10 for them as it’s about our star players, and we have so many protocols to abide by for their safety and comfort. So, it was just the players and the support staff who watched this particular show. It was a delight to host the champion team in Lucknow. The total strength of the contingent was 40 members.". The players reportedly exited at venue at 12.10 am.

About India vs South Africa clash

Team India landed at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport early on Monday, after which they checked into the Hyatt Regency Hotel. On the other hand, the South African team is staying at the Hotel Renaissance. The two teams are scheduled to have practice sessions at the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday. Special traffic management plans are underway to manage the large crowd that is expected to ensure safe entry and exit for the teams and spectators.

For the unversed, India won the opening match against South Africa, while the second match was taken away by the guest team. Team India registered a convincing seven-wicket victory in the third T20I, and is now looking to seal the series with another win.
