Neena Gupta faces body shaming for wearing shorts at airport, hits back at troll

Actress Neena Gupta lives her life on her terms and conditions and often breaks stereotypes, especially age-related and fashion-related. The actress is also quite active on social media and interacts with her followers through social media platforms. Recently, she dropped a video of how she keeps herself fed during long waiting hours at the airport. In the video, the actress is seen dressed in a dress whose hem is above the knee. A netizen told Gupta not to show her legs. 

Neena`s food habit at airport

In the video, Neena was seen wearing a navy blue outfit as she sat in the waiting area of the airport and spoke directly to the camera. The actress spoke about her food habits at the airport and shared that she always brings a small snack, roti rolls in a tiffin box. She said that she always does this when at the airport, as she is not sure what to order on the plane or at the airport. She then shared the ingredients that go inside these roti rolls- potatoes, chillies, paneer, and onion, among other things. The caption read, “Shorts wali desi girl.”

Neena responds to body-shaming troll

In the comments section of the video, a user commented, “Very good ...only request dont show your legs ,they are not well toned ...we have never seen dadi mummy showing their legs this way ...ageing gracefully is excellent.” Another user defended Neena in the comments and wrote, “What a demeaning comment from another WOMAN. Congratulations for being such a body shamer and being part of the problem.”

Another woman came to Neena`s defence and wrote, "What a demeaning comment from another WOMAN. Congratulations for being such a body shamer and being part of the problem.”

This comment did not escape Neena`s attention, as she replied, “Don’t worry. These people who talk like this are basically jealous that they don’t have such good body, so ignore.”

The romantic drama featured an ensemble cast that included Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Anupam Kher. The film was a box office success upon its release.
