Aamir Khan gets addressed as Sunil Grover at Happy Patel screening, watch
Comedian and actor Sunil Grover recently had everyone impressed and amused as he mimicked Aamir Khan on The Kapil Sharma Show. He put up a highly convincing act as the Lagaan star, perfectly aping his clothing style, hair, beard, glasses, and mannerisms. Not just the audience, even Aamir Khan was impressed by Grover’s skills and praised him. The clip of Grover as Aamir became so popular that when Aamir Khan and Sunil Grover arrived at an event, paparazzi decided to play along.
Who`s the real Aamir Khan?
On Wednesday, a special screening was held for Aamir Khan Productions’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. At the screening, Khan arrived hand-in-hand with his girlfriend Gauri Spratt. As the actor walked the red carpet and posed for the paparazzi, he was addressed as Sunil instead of Aamir. The superstar burst out laughing and continued to pose for the cameras, clearly enjoying the moment.
Meanwhile, Sunil Grover arrived solo at the event and posed for pictures. He was addressed as Aamir Khan by the paparazzi, and the comedian responded with a wide smile as photographers called him by the superstar’s name.

When Sunil got Aamir in trouble
Recently, the makers of Happy Patel also shared a fun promotional video featuring Grover perfectly impersonating Aamir, leading to a chaotic and laugh-filled face-off.
The video opens with Vir Das entering what he believes is Aamir Khan’s office, only to find Sunil Grover sitting there, completely in character as the Bollywood star. When Vir hesitantly questions him, Sunil casually replies, “I have been working out.” Continuing the act, he showers praise on Vir’s film and says, “I am so proud of you, man. What a picture you have made, Happy Patel… It’s my experience. If the picture doesn’t turn out to be a superhit, then I am not Aamir Khan. Oscar, Oscar, Oscar.”
Taking the joke further, Sunil even hands Vir a cheque, saying, “Here, take this cheque for the sequel. I really want to make it.” The situation escalates when the real Aamir Khan walks in and asks, “Who are you?” Without missing a beat, Sunil shoots back, “Aap kaun hai bhaisahab?”, leaving everyone confused.
Aamir then calls security to deal with the impersonator, but Sunil cleverly convinces the guards that he is the real Aamir by handing them cheques. In a dramatic twist, the guards escort the actual Aamir Khan out of his own office, while Sunil calmly takes his seat, still in character.
Aamir Khan Productions also shared a BTS video of Sunil Grover playing Aamir Khan and creating laugh-out-loud moments with both Vir Das and Aamir Khan. While the video has been doing the rounds on social media, the BTS clip is even more entertaining, showing Aamir and the entire team thoroughly enjoying Sunil Grover’s spot-on mimicry. With such creative promotional assets, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos is shaping up to be a fun entertainer to watch out for.
