Kajol’s mom Tanuja steals the show with her ‘whistle’ worthy moment

Kajol recently celebrated her 51^st birthday. On the special day, she was invited to the prestigious Raj Kapoor award ceremony, where she was honoured. The moment was all the more special for her as she was accompanied by her mom Tanuja, who was also on the same stage a few years back. In a viral video from the evening, Kajol is seen insisting her mom to whistle after which Anupam Kher praises her.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Anupam Kher shared the video in which he is seen sitting with Kajol and Tanuja. At one moment, Tanuja channelled her inner child after Kajol insisted her to whistle. The moment was appreciated by Anupam Kher in a heartfelt post.  

In the caption, Anupam wrote, “That is how sometimes LEGENDS are actually supposed to be! Tanuja ji (Kajol’s Mom) is not only a very fine actress, a great mother, and a wonderful human being but also the OG coolest heroine of #IndianCinema! She whistled with me at the #MaharashtraStateFilmAwards like a teenager. A big salute to her spirit towards life! You really ROCK Ma’am! Jai Ho!”

At the same event, Kajol was seen losing her cool at the paparazzi. She was seen speaking in Marathi to the reporters, calling the award a ‘big deal’. However, when one reporter asked her to repeat her words in Hindi, Kajol got irritated and said, “Abhi main Hindi mein bolu (Now should I speak in Hindi too)?” She added, “Jisko samjhna hai woh samjh lenge (Those who want to understand what I said, will figure it out).”

Kajol upcoming movies

Workwise, she will reprise her powerful role as Noyonika Sengupta in the much-awaited second season of The Trial. The web series is a legal drama adapted from the American series The Good Wife. 

Currently, Kajol has Maharagni – Queen of Queens in the pipeline. The film, directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati boasts an ensemble cast including Prabhudeva, Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal. Apart from films, Kajol will also be debuting as a chat show host alongside Twinkle Khanna in Prime Video’s upcoming original Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle.
